This course is designed for anyone starting out in the world of wine — enthusiasts, amateur, pro­fes­sion­als in career transition, or those in the hospitality industry.

No prior knowledge is required, just the desire to learn, taste, and gain a deeper understanding.

An approachable, enriching, and practical experience

Throughout the day, you’ll explore the major wine types and styles, discover emblematic grape varieties, and learn to method­i­cal­ly describe wine using the WSET Level 1 systematic approach to tasting (SAT®) system.

You’ll taste a selection of 9 carefully chosen wines rep­re­sent­ing different styles and types, com­ple­ment­ed by fun and educational activities.

You will also be shown how to properly serve and store a bottle according to best practices, and learn the principles of successful food and wine pairing.

One day course, a global recognition

In just one day course, you will be equiped with the ground knowledge from which you will be able to further develop your wine culture.
The course culminate with an official exam consisting in a 30 multiple choice ques­tion­naire. Upon success to this exam, you will receive your WSET Level 1 award and a pin, so you enter the official WSET family.

Based in Rosport, the courses are held at Caves Wengler SA, one of the most admired importer and retailer in the Grand Duchy, distributing for decades great names from France, Italy and more. LWSA no longer provides WSET education on its own, and decided to partner with Wengler Education for WSET related courses.
